30/04/21 Financing Programmes Status

- Erasmus + 
The European Parliament's Culture and Education Committee is scheduled to vote on the file on 10 May 2021. 

- European Social Fund Plus (ESF+)
The European Parliament's Employment and Social Affairs Committee approved the text agreed at early 2nd reading interinstitutional negotiations. Now it is up to the Council to approve the agreed text. 

- European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Cohesion Fund (CF)
The co-legislators (European Parliament and Council of the EU) reached a provisional political agreement in trilogue on 8 December 2020. Remaining technical and political work on the recitals and annexes was finalised in January and February 2021 during the Portuguese presidency. A final political trilogue took place on 9 February 2021, confirming the political agreement between the Council and the European Parliament. The Parliament is expected to vote on the agreement in the coming months.

- Horizon Europe 
The Council adopted its first reading position on 16 March 2021. The European Parliament is expected to approve the Council’s position at first reading in April 2021. No matter the date of the adoption, the texts will enter into force retroactively on 1 January 2021.

- Digital Europe Programme - DEP
The Council adopted its position at first reading on 16 March 2021. The next and final step is the adoption of the legal act by the EP (expected to take on 29 April 2021).

- Creative Europe Programme
On 13 April 2021, all MS delegations voted in favour of the adoption of the Council’s position at first reading on the Creative Europe Programme. The final approval of the regulation is expected to take place during the Plenary session of May 2021.
